lyrics

Plunging like a depth charge,
I'm salting some new scars
With shockwaves ignored by the fish.
I've chewed my way through the nets,
Just to see what I get,
If I embrace the gloom of the depths
It's cold.

Eddying through sediment
And conjuring impediments
And telling my friends all my woes.
Looking from the surface,
It's hard to see the purpose
in tilling the murk that I sow.
Immerse myself in regret
And treat solutions as threats,
No matter how luminescent they glow
It's cold.

A shimmer of light,
Some bubbles of hope,
Amphibian dreams of the air.
A pint with a friend,
The memories flow
Of a life lived before the dispair.
But I can't see the shore
'Cos I can't find the faith
And I pretend that I'm under prepared.
So I dive! (Dive)

When the journey's opaque
You should swallow the kelp and be the lake.
Empty wisdom in tow
If it sounds quite profound it won't keep you afloat
Follow me into the endless trench.
